Why? Because it’s time we break the stigma for those living with Dementia!

Assured is a leader in Brain Care and support. We thought we might host a Dementia Friendly Night Out to provide people with dementia the chance to socialize and connect with others. Hosting a dementia-friendly night out can be a great way to help battle social isolation, a problem that affects many people with dementia. Additionally, we believed it would be a great way to connect with loved ones, family members and those supporting their person living with Dementia. We want to provide an avenue to support our family care partners (aka caregivers).

A night out that is inclusive of people with dementia can also aid in boosting community understanding of the illness, lowering stigma, and fostering inclusivity. Care partners and loved ones may also have the chance to connect with others who are going through similar circumstances. A good and memorable experience may be created for all parties involved by offering a secure and friendly atmosphere that caters to the requirements of people who are living with dementia.

Our Approach

The evening is designed to be welcoming for all those living with Dementia and their families.  No one ever pays for their meal.  As we want this to be about you, your loved ones, and the community.  The experts of Assured Senior Living will be in attendance and in many cases, Francis LeGasse Jr, CDP, one of the two owners will be there.

When & Where

Currently, we host our Dementia Friendly Night Out the last Tuesday of every month at Castle Café located at 403 Wilcox Street Castle Rock, CO 80104. However, to stay up to date please join our newsletter to stay on top of all the happenings.

All Are Welcome

Whether living at home, in a residence, visiting, everyone is welcome to attend with their families. Please make this a family night and we love the little ones too! If here are questions or concerns, please reach out to Francis LeGasse Jr. at dementiafriendly@assuredsl.com or 303.814.2688.

As Francis’ says, “Dementia is not the end but rather a Change in the ending!" Let’s find the bright spots together!

A message from an older adult living with Dementia – “I can speak from experience as a someone with dementia the value of socialization and engagement is so important to make sure I have a sense of connections and quality of my life. Social isolation is a common problem for people like me, and it can result in sadness, anxiety, and other harmful health effects. A night out that is dementia-friendly, however, can have a lot of advantages for both me living with dementia and my caregivers.”
